South Africa vs Israel

Prayer and Fasting – 11 & 12 January 2024

(9 Jan. 2024)  The International Court of Justice (ICJ) said it will hold public hearings January 11th and 12th regarding proceedings South Africa initiated last week against Israel over allegations of genocide for its war against Hamas in Gaza. South Africa is scheduled to present its oral arguments on January 11th, and Israel is set to do the same the following day.

Earnestly consider to fast and pray this week: before, during and after the proceedings at the ICJ.

How do we pray?
REPENT AND ASK FORGIVENESS ON BEHALF of all parties involved for any form of arrogance, prejudice or injustice and bad judgment of the matters at hand.
CRY OUT FOR GOD’S MERCY to rest on all involved in this process – including other nations who support SA’s case at the ICJ.
PRAY FOR THE PROTECTION of the people of South Africa, our economy, our land.
PRAY FOR SA’s GOVERNMENT to know, understand, and perceive justice from God’s point of view, and for the fear of God to rest on the proceedings this week.

Pray Scripture:

Father of mercy, we lift up in prayer all participants in this matter which will be presented at the ICJ this week – will You speak into their hearts about righteousness and justice, about integrity and uprightness, about truth and excellence, in Jesus name. Uncover their eyes and hearts to know the truth according to Your will and purposes for the Middle East.

PRAY FOR ALL NATIONS INVOLVED:

Psalm 32:2, 10 – Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. … Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; but he who trusts in the LORD, mercy shall surround him.
Psalm 33:13-15 – The LORD looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From the place of His dwelling He looks on all the inhabitants of the earth; He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works.

Psalm 68:1 – Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; let those also who hate Him flee before Him.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
