18 May 2026 – South Africa is facing one of its worst weather-related disasters in recent years after floods and storms displaced thousands, destroyed homes and crippled transport routes in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Northern Cape, North West, Free State and Mpumalanga. President Ramaphosa has declared a national state of disaster.

- Pray for all involved in rescue operations and relief efforts: government departments, municipalities and disaster-management, the National Defence Force, churches, NGOs, community networks and agricultural authorities.
- Pray for rapid restoration of roads, electricity, water systems and damaged infrastructure.
- Pray for emergency funding and relief supplies to reach the intended communities without corruption or delay.
- Pray for shelter, comfort and provision for families who have lost homes, loved ones and livelihoods.
- Pray for protection against disease outbreaks and further heavy rainfall and flooding.
- Pray for hearts to turn to the Lord and be open to the Gospel.
