God Story
Dead but now alive

Zahid* messaged the Arab World Media responder, nervous and uncertain, “I would like to communicate with Christians, but I am very afraid of those around me.”

This is how the responder tells the story of their conversations.

Too many questions

I reassured him that our communication was confidential and that it was safe to talk to me. He told me his story.

Zahid was a student of a great sheikh. But in his mind, he had many doubts about a lot of things in Islam – especially the hadiths, which are the sayings and actions of Mohammed the prophet. Initially, he tried to overcome his unbelief, but when he discovered moral issues and sins in his great teacher, his doubts grew, and he felt he could no longer believe in Islam. He had too many questions and needed clear answers.

Seeking online

When Zahid began to look for answers to his questions online, he came across the AWM ministry website. He filled in a form, and I responded to his message. We started to discuss Christianity and read the Scriptures together.

Dead but now alive

After engaging back and forth for some time, Zahid sent me this message:
I love the Bible very much. Surely, this is the true book of God. It is the first time I have heard about salvation in this way. It is honest, logical and consistent with the image of the true God, the complete opposite of Islam. Unfortunately, God spoke to my heart telling me to search for a long time before I responded. I regret all the previous years of my life. I was dead, but now I’m living in heaven. Thank you very much; you saved me from death.
