God Story
A life transformed by Scripture

In Egypt, something quiet – and powerful – is unfolding.

Across communities, God’s Word is taking root in hearts that have long gone without hearing it in a way they can truly understand. Through the Sudanese Arabic Oral Bible Translation team, Scripture is now available in the language people speak, think, and feel – Sudanese Arabic. And through Oral Discipleship, local leaders are not just sharing Scripture, they are inviting others to encounter it together – listening, retelling and discovering its meaning in small, relational groups.

For oral learners, this changes everything. Scripture is no longer distant or abstract – it becomes personal, lived and shared.

Mina’s* story

When her group studied the story of Nicodemus in John 3, Mina was honest about her confusion. The idea of being ‘born again’ didn’t make sense to her. But she stayed engaged. She listened. She wrestled. And after spending time in prayer, she felt compelled to share the story with the other women.

Together, they retold the story, asked questions, and leaned into its meaning. And somewhere in that process, something shifted. With tears in her eyes, Mina shared that she finally understood – this new life Jesus spoke of was real, and it was for her.

An awareness of God’s presence

When she returned home, she prayed, asking Jesus for a new life. In that moment, she experienced a deep, unexplainable peace and a clear awareness of God’s presence. Since then, she has been pursuing a growing relationship with Him, eager to know more.
