1. God listens. Let us just consider this for a moment. One way to put it: Heaven stops. The Father says: “Just a moment, My son is talking to Me.” We read something of this in Ps.116:2 – “Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!” (NLT). “I love the LORD because He has heard my appeal for mercy.” (HCSB). “Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.” (NKJV)
2. As we pray, God answers and the situation starts to change, because God responds to our prayers. He wants to answer us. Have no doubt about it.
3. When you pray, ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. He will teach you how and what to pray. “Likewise the Spirit also helps us in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”8:26.
