In the last six years 224 000 Syrian babies were born just in refugee camps in Turkey. Turkey hosts about 3 million Syrian and also other refugees.
There is a total of 13 million Syrian refugees worldwide (some fled the country, and some are internally displaced). Add a few million Iraqi refugees, more from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Yemen and Myanmar, Eretria, Somali, Kenya, etc. The numbers are staggering.
This leaves us with millions of babies under the age of 7. A very small percentage of them will have an opportunity to receive any primary, secondary or tertiary education. More over they are growing up in the most horrific physical conditions, insecurity and violence. Nobody knows how this new emerging generation will react to life.
Pray for them: For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your outcome. Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you. Jeremiah 29:11-12 (AMPC)
